Drop.io was an online file-hosting and sharing service that allowed users to privately share and store files. It allowed users to create and customize their own “drops”, or online storage spaces, where they could upload and share files with specific individuals or groups. The service also offered features such as collaboration tools, password protection, and access controls to manage sharing permissions. In 2010, Drop.io was acquired by Facebook and shut down.
